FAQs
The Pelican Landing Community Association Board of Directors recently approved a new community-wide telecommunications agreement following an extensive evaluation process that included technical, operational, and financial analyses. The Board’s decision was based on an evaluation process that began approximately 18 months ago. The Board accepted the Board appointed resident Telecommunications Task Force’s unanimous recommendation for Fibernow, as well as the Finance Committee’s independent evaluation and recommendation of Fibernow.
Since that Board decision, a number of questions have been raised by residents regarding the procurement process, financial evaluation, installation, and in-home services.
The purpose of these Frequently Asked Questions is to provide factual information regarding the procurement process and insights from the Telecommunications Task Force (chaired by Jason Perry), the Association's consultant (Converged Services, Inc. “CSI”), the Finance Committee (chaired by Jim Yost), and the actual executed contracts. These Q&A’s are intended to provide residents with a single source of accurate information.
